Our beginner and intermediate group classes can be conducted in-person at our 59th Street Studio or remotely over Zoom and can be made available for both adults and for families. Introduction to Mandarin I (A Group)

People without any prior Mandarin learning experience or people looking to brush up on the basics are welcome to join us in Intro to Mandarin I. Each week, our teachers will build up the foundations of the language, setting you up for a successful Mandarin journey.
The class will follow the Integrated Chinese series with Chinesepod, Skritter, and TCB as supplemental material. Students should expect to learn between 250-300 new words and finish through chapter 3.

Advanced Business Mandarin

Our business program is based off of the textbook series 'Road to Success'. This is an advanced Mandarin course studying 10 cases of companies entering the Chinese market. The class is conducted 90% in the target language and will infuse business and cultural lessons into the course.
Business program
Manhattan Mandarin's In-Office business classes are designed for you and your team to quickly and efficiently gain an understanding of the language, allowing you to travel comfortably in China and impress your Chinese counterparts.
This 20 hours course will cover greetings, eating, drinking, etiquette, travel, and navigation. It will also build a rock solid foundation for you to continue learning Mandarin on your own or through Manhattan Mandarin by covering most of the grammar patterns necessary for intermediate/advanced Mandarin.
Classes will only be taught by Manhattan Mandarin tutors who also have experience working in China. Properly understanding a language requires knowledge of the culture to which it is bound; we make sure to focus much of the course on helping you gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.
